On Saturday, 24 April, the Third Annual Gyeongnam Science Drawing Competition was held in the Korea Institute of Materials Science(KIMS). 409 elementary students were participated the event with their family.

The annual Gyeongnam Science Drawing Competition was started from 2008 to encourage local students' interest in science. The number of participants has been increased annually; 187 in 2008, 279 in 2009, and 407 in 2010. 

Furthermore, participants were able to join the scientific experiment and laboratory tour to understand more about the science, and the institute.
