초록 : Porous metallic materials are used for the fabrication of filters, lightweight structures, biomaterials, heat exchangers, electrodes for fuel cells, batteries, catalyst supports and fluid
treatment units as well as in many other applications. The required structures and properties greatly depend on the application. Closed porosity is generally sought for lightweight structures and thermal insulation while open porosity is particularly of interest for applications requiring gas/liquid permeability and involving surface exchange phenomena. A technique has recently been developed to produce foamed metallic structures from dry powder blends containing a
metallic powder, a binder and a foaming agent. The powder mix is molded and heat-treated to form the foamed material.
