On 12 March 2010, director of Development Businesses, VSMPO-Avisma Corporation (Avisma Corporation), Russia visited the Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS). Avisma Corporation is the world most production and manufacturing company of Titanium. Seeking for the research collaboration partner in Korea, this visit was aimed to develop the mutual cooperation between the KIMS and Avisma Corporation in the field of Titanium and Aluminium alloys. During the visit, KIMS introduced the Titanium Research in Korea to the representatives from Avisma Corporation and Russian Technologies (Russia State Corporation). Avisma Corporation produces 40% of the world's titanium and Russian Technology is the national enterprise which produces 23% of the Russian products and manages 439 companies' technology in Russia.
