KIMS is received the 2022 Korea Reliability Award (government and public interest sector)

KIMS is recognized as a technology independence leader!

The Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), a government-funded research institute under the Ministry of Science and ICT, received the 2022 Korea Reliability Award (government and public interest sector) for improving the reliability of domestic materials and parts companies as well as developing the national industry. KIMS has been striving to improve the reliability of the materials and parts industry by developing various materials reliability-related technologies and providing semi-mass production demonstration support centered on the Materials and Parts Damage Cause Analysis Center (2005) and the Metal Materials Total Solution Center (2012).

Jung-hwan Lee, the President of KIMS, said, “This award will be a great opportunity to increase national industrial competitiveness. With this achievement, we will continue to strive to make more companies accomplish technology independence.”

The Korea Reliability Award recognizes achievements that have greatly contributed to the improvement of the reliability of materials, parts, and products in Korea, which strengthened corporate competitiveness and contributed to the development of domestic industry and the national economy. These awards are given by the Korea Reliability Society (Chairman Jeong-won Park) to entrepreneurs, men with distinguished achievements, and organizations in the government and public interest, manufacturing, tertiary, and SME sectors.
