Korea Institute of Materials Science(KIMS), a government-funded research institute under the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea started providing technical support for six(6) global hidden champions in Gyeongnam which were DAEHO TECHNOLOGY KOREA Co. Ltd, ALMAC Co. Ltd, WOORIM MACHINERY Co. Ltd, DAERYUK FLANGE Co. Ltd, CENOTEC Co. Ltd, and ANYCASTING Co. Ltd. These companies were all selected as one of the "100 top global hidden champions in materials, parts, and equipment" by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups(MSS) last year.

The department of corporation support from KIMS invited officials from the Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and held a video conference with the eight(8) hidden champions in gyeongnam to introduce their technical support programs for SMEs.

Before the meeting, KIMS decided to investigate the companies' demand to provide solutions for difficult technologies through written and on-site visits and finally select and support six(6) companies that requested technology support. Furthermore, KIMS will designate researchers and teams suitable for the requested technology, and will actively support technical advice, test and evaluation, budgeting, and R&D.
