Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), a government-funded research institute under the Ministry of Science and ICT, recruits beta testers for the products developed based on the research outcomes of KIMS to listen to their opinions and publicize the research outcomes. Anyone who wants to become the KIMS Beta Tester can apply from Monday, July 4 to Friday, July 1

KIMS Beta Testers, a strategic public relation of KIMS, can experience the product manufactured based on the technology of KIMS. The products may be provided in a public place for a certain period of time. KIMS expects to receive meaningful reviews from the testers. KIMS aims to build a consensus on the importance of science and technology and improve the brand image of the institution by providing opportunities for people to properly recognize and experience its technology.

The products provided to KIMS Beta Testers are sunglasses made of domestic high-quality titanium material manufactured by company W and developed by the Department of Titanium and plasma technology applied antibacterial/antiviral air purifier manufactured by company V and developed by the Department of Nano-Bio Convergence. The sunglasses are provided to 50 people over the age of 19 who are influential on social media, and the antibacterial/antiviral air purifiers are provided to 5 public places including non-profit organizations and hospitals that have a large floating population.

Jung-hwan Lee, the President of KIMS, said, “It's time to evolve from the basic R&D outcome promotion and deliver the excellent research outcomes directly to the general public. I sincerely hope that the beta testers can see the efforts and achievements of the government-funded research institution.”
