	1981. 01.Korea Institute of Machinery and Metals(KIMM) was launched in Changwon

KIMS history 1991 ~ 2000

	1992 .03.The institute was renamed as Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials(KIMM) and its headquarter moved to Daejeon
	1993. 04.Branch of KIMM was established in Changwon

KIMS history 2001 ~ now

	2002. 03.Changwon branch was renamed as Materials Science Institute(MSI)
	2007. 04.Korea Institute of Materials Science(KIMS)was launched as a subsidiary of Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials(KIMM)
	2020. 11.Korea Institute of Materials Science(KIMS) was launched with independent status
