The 4th Joint Symposium between KIMS, IMR, NIMS [Superalloys and Advanced Processing] was held on May 12-13 at KIMS. The Symposium proved the importance of international collaboration as the 8th year of collaboration between the three institutes covered in depth topics on superalloys and its structural processing. This year broadened the collaboration topic, which aligned with the currently trend of "Green" materials. 20 delegations from IMR and NIMS were invited with nearly 80 domestic industries participated in the event.
The Joint Symposium started in 2001 in Korea (then KIMM) and has been continuously held every two years. As the 4th Symposium, collaborators were able to truly deepen research works as well as friendship. The continuous partnership has and wil be a firm foundation allowing smooth semination for future topics.
