KIMS forged partnership with the Nubigo, a public-private delivery app in Chang-won City for its‘Deliver Science’

A little farther, and closer with the delivery service of science experiment package!

Korea Institute of Materials Science(KIMS), a government-funded research institute under the Ministry of Science & ICT, decided to forge a partnership with the Nubigo, a public-private partnership delivery application developed by Changwon City. This partnership has been concluded to deliver ‘Deliver Science’, a delivery program that hands over the science experiment kit manufactured by the KIMS, to families with youth and the underprivileged. KIMS has initiated its own program, ‘Deliver Science,’ as a regional convergence science culture activity program to deliver science experiment kits to families with youth and children directly. So far, packages of science teaching aids, educational books (school course books), and science experiment kits manufactured by the KIMS have been delivered to about 1,200 families and 500 persons in the isolated regions for the last 3 years nationwide since its first launching in 2020.

To mark Science Month in April, KIMS will recruit applicants through the ‘Nubigo,’a public-private partnership delivery app, to actively promote the program. Parents (or guardians) with youth children are eligible for application and one experiment kit will be provided per household. Application is open from April 20th (Thu) to 22nd (Sat) and up to 500 households will be accepted on the order of application submission. Based on the cooperation, KIMS will take this chance to reach out and comfort people in need, beyond merely providing the science culture experiment activities.

Jung-Hwan Lee, President of the KIMS, said that “This partnership will not only encourage students aspiring to study science in the future to have much interest but also become the representative case of the convergence contents created between regional institutes. Against this backdrop, KIMS will continuously strive to forge partnerships with various organizations to develop as many programs as possible in the future for more effective and outstanding results”.

Anyone interested in the ‘Deliver Science’ by KIMS can apply after downloading the Nubigo application in the Google play or app store.
