The Korea Institute of Materials Science, a representative hub and leader organization in Materials, Parts, and Equipment

sector(hereinafter MPE) held a contest to popularize the three sectors to actively promote the importance of the materials

industry at home and abroad

The contest was divided into three categories: the "emblem" section, for creative symbols of MPE, the"calligraphy"section, for

handwriting works of a phrase to inform the importance of MPE, and the"photography" section, for photos of industry or

everyday life related to MPE. Starting on Mon. June 14 and ending on Fri. July 9, KIMS accepted the works through the

Sangsang website (sangsang.kims.re.kr) of KIMS which aims to promote and popularize science.

The first prize winner (1 person or 1 team) will receive an award certificate and cash prize of 1 million won, the second prize

winners (2 persons or 2 teams) will receive an award certificate and prize money of 500,000 won each, and the third prize

winners (5 persons or 5 teams) will receive an award certificate and prize money of 200,000 won each.

KIMS plans to actively utilize the award-winning works in the promotional materials and documents related to MPE and to

promote and share the works by informing relevant government institutions and organizations.
